Installation Steps

Prepare the Steam version
Make sure War Thunder is installed through Steam. Review current requirements and any Windows-protection actions in the official guide (https://docs.xernel.cc/share/d7s4n5xngf/p/war-thunder-guide-6IyaWIDhY3).

Download the launcher
Open the official launcher page (https://xernel.cc/launcher/download), enter a valid key and obtain the launcher.

Activate and select War Thunder
Run the launcher as administrator, activate the key, select War Thunder and press Launch.

Wait for the launcher signal
Per the guide, wait for the launcher beep and press DEL. Do not start the product while already in-game.
